Join the Michael’s Cause team and participate in the 2025 NYC Marathon, scheduled for Sunday, November 2, 2025. Michael’s Cause is dedicated to raising awareness for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, channeling all funds towards cutting-edge medical and scientific research for improved treatments and a potential cure. Typically, individuals affected by Duchenne experience a loss of the ability to walk between the ages of 8 and 12.

Be a part of our team in 2025 and run in solidarity with those who face challenges in running and walking. This marks the 8th consecutive year that Michael’s Cause proudly sponsors the race. Runners will secure entry into the marathon and receive the NY Road Runners online training program, along with exclusive Michael’s Cause running apparel.

Participants are required to raise $4000 by utilizing social media and other donation platforms. To further support your fundraising endeavors, we will organize a raffle. Michael’s Cause Team Crosses the Finish Line!

On Sunday, November 3rd, 2024, the Michael’s Cause team once again conquered the iconic NYC Marathon, marking our 7th consecutive year of participation! Our dedicated runners laced up their shoes and pounded the pavement, not just for personal achievement, but to raise crucial awareness and funds for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) research.

This year’s team exemplified the spirit of solidarity, running in honor of those who face the daily challenge of losing muscle function. Their dedication and determination were truly inspiring.

Through their incredible fundraising efforts, our team significantly contributed to cutting-edge research aimed at finding improved treatments and a cure for DMD.

The Michael’s Cause 12th annual Step for a Cure 5k Run and Walk held on September 22, 2024 was an incredible success! Over 1500 people joined us for this inspiring event, lacing up their sneakers to support Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) research.

We thank the Curran, Schultz, Scarso, Perrina, and Petronzi families for their unwavering support. Their presence and participation made a tremendous difference.

The Disco Deck Party Boogeyed Down for a Cure!

More than 300 guests turned back the clock at the Grand Oaks Country Club for a night of dazzling disco and unwavering support for Michael’s Cause! On June 21st, 2024, the Disco Deck Party pulsated with iconic anthems, dazzling lights, and an electrifying atmosphere thanks to the incredible sounds of Disco Unlimited.

Guests reveled in a vibrant atmosphere, indulging in an exquisite buffet and open bar while grooving to the music. This unforgettable night wasn’t just about reliving the past – it was about raising crucial funds and awareness for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
