Michael’s Cause held it’s 2nd annual Step for a Cure 5k Run and Walk at Clove Lakes Park on Sunday September 22, 2013. The event was a complete success with 165 registered runners and over 500 walkers. Awareness was raised about Duchenne and the hope for a cure is now within reach. Several drugs are in clinical trial and many look very promising. In attendance were NYC Councilman Vincent Ignizio and mayoral hopeful Joe Lhota. Brielle Von Hugel kicked off the day with a great rendition of God Bless America. A special thanks goes out to the MC committee and volunteers who made the day run smoothly.
